Power Cable

Power cable (light-duty flexible cable) is used for equipment supply, control circuits and low-voltage distribution connections, and is among the highest-volume basic wire products in switchgear assembly, machinery, security installations and building electrical work.

Representative of this class are the RVV and RVVP series, manufactured to JB/T 8734. In the designation, R denotes a flexible construction (multistrand fine copper wires), V denotes PVC insulation, the second V denotes a PVC sheath, and P denotes copper wire braid screening. The flexible conductor gives excellent bend performance for switchboard wiring, internal equipment connections and applications involving repeated movement, while PVC insulation and sheathing provide reliable electrical insulation plus abrasion and oil resistance.

Rated voltage is typically 300/300 V or 300/500 V, with core counts from 2 to 24 and nominal cross-sections from 0.5 mm² to 2.5 mm². Screened RVVP types carry control signals alongside power and suppress EMI generated by VFDs and motors, making them common in automation equipment, security systems, instrumentation and access control / intercom installations.

Custom colours, printing, lengths and sheath compounds are available, with coil or drum packing.
